DO YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER WITH US?
What is it like to volunteer at Bow Foodbank?
Volunteers are the heart of what we do at Bow Foodbank, we couldn’t do what we do without them. We remain deeply grateful to them, they are an established group of 350 active community volunteers, some of whom have been with us for over 10 years!
Our volunteers reflect the diversity and energy of Tower Hamlets and are a living example of neighbours supporting neighbours — people from different backgrounds and life stages building stronger connections and friendships across Tower Hamlets.
100% of volunteers say that volunteering helps them feel connected to their community.
“It’s not just about giving food – it’s about making people feel seen.”
A recently retired local resident, Sasha wanted to give back to her community. Volunteering at Bow Foodbank has allowed her to meet people from all walks of life and “see things from a different perspective.
