A Message From Bow Foodbank – Home Deliveries are Stopping Soon

As the Covid 19 lockdown restrictions are relaxing and fewer people are required to self-isolate for long periods, we are no longer offering home deliveries.

The Bow Foodbank sessions still take place on Mondays from 08.30am to 12.30pm, including bank holidays, and you are welcome to continue collecting food bags in person, or by sending someone to collect for you. The location has recently changed and is now at:

The Bromley By Bow Centre, St Leonard’s Street (Use the entrance on Bruce Road), E3 3BT

We are not currently limiting clients to 15 visits (as we did before Covid 19) and you can come even if you previously used your 15 visits.

You do not need to bring ID or paperwork, you do not need a referral from anyone – just turn up. You will be asked for the first part of your address only (e.g. E3 or E2) and how many children (under 18) you are looking after at home.

We soon hope to offer tea or coffee for clients whilst queuing, but please bring your own water with you.

Please also wear a mask and use hand sanitizer, keeping 2m apart from others at all times. There are toilets available.

If you need help to collect a food bag on Mondays, please let us know in any of the following ways:

  • Tell your home delivery volunteer from Bow Foodbank
  • Email info@bowfoodbank.org
  • Send us a message on Facebook
  • Tweet us (@Bowfoodbank)
  • Calling or texting Bow Foodbank on 07934 734 603 (this phone is operated by volunteers so please leave a message so that we can call you back).

Best wishes
